d'Elegance Gala & Celebrity Dinner
More than 200 people attended the d'Elegance Reception and Dinner presented
by Newman's Own Foundation.Tiffany & Company provided an exquisite pendant
necklace as the event door prize. Tito's Handmade Vodka assisted by Stirrings
provided a pre-dinner vodka tasting bar. Honorees for the evening received
the Share the Passion Award - presented to Malcolm Pray and Wayne Carini who
have used a lifetime of passion for rare and antique vehicle collecting to
benefit others. Dignitaries included Connecticut Attorney General Richard
Blumenthal and US Congressman Christopher Shays. Celebrity guest speaker,
Frank Deford, kept the audience enthralled. In all, the event raised more
than $60,000 for AIND/Giant Steps and Hall-Brooke Behavioral Health Services.
