Dear Subscriber,

Calling all volunteers! Come join us for the fun this year!

Go to the Concours website and let us know what jobs interest you and what times you are planning to help -- we need many volunteers on Sunday for the big show and some for the Saturday car club and tour activities.

Saturday will be a Car & Motorcycle Club Celebration with several area clubs attending.  They will have their own club meetings and be able to attend seminars and demonstrations throughout the day.

Saturday's Nutmeg Tour for Autism will feature stops at the Redding Historical Society for lunch and a review of the AACA's 59th Annual Fall Classic Car Show.  It will then travel on to the Collector's Car Garage in Bedford, NY.  We then return to the Hunt Club for the evening's Toast the Tour Reception and Preview benefiting The Drive to Treat Autism Fund supporting diagnostic and treatment services for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders.   Also Saturday evening is the Bonhams Auction Preview (separate tickets required).

Sunday's Concours features more than 200 significant vintage automobiles and motor cycles.  Our featured judging classes are Porsche, Bugatti, Barn Finds and Aston Martin. Our special exhibits are the 24 Hours of LeMans, Styled by the Wind - celebrating pre-war automotive aerodynamics, the coachwork of Howard "Dutch" Darrin and Hot Rods & Customs of the 50's.

Even if you volunteered last year, you should sign up online again this year so we know what you want to do and when you want to be there.
This promises to be our best year yet!

Email our Volunteer Chair with any questions.

Each volunteer receives a complimentary Fairfield County Concours logo'ed golf shirt.
Hagerty Youth Judges - Operation Ignite
Once again, we are proud to  be partnering with Hagerty Insurance  and their new Operation Ignite! Program.  It is an expansion of their previous Youth Judges Program.  Sign-ups are available on our website for the Youth Judges program -- a link is on our home page.

Last year's judges had an exciting and difficult time choosing among the many fabulous vehicles.  This year will be no exception.  Sign-ups are limited to the first 20 8-16 year olds who apply.  Sign up now to ensure your position.

Lime Rock Park - Welcome a New Sponsor
Skip Barber started the Lime Rock Drivers Club in 2007 to provide privileged access to Lime Rock Park to a broad spectrum of performance driver's, in an un-crowded, and un-hurried atmosphere. He felt that many track drivers would prefer the opportunity to choose a date, maybe bring friends, and then, having arrived on their schedule, not be placed in a run group with an assigned driving time, but instead, drive immediately. Of course, given his history, Skip insisted on premium coaching being an integral part of the Club Membership package, so coaches are always on hand to help members with their driving, or car setup questions, all at no additional cost. In fact The Club prides itself on the complete package that members enjoy, which is inclusive of all meals, beverages, (wine and beer at days end), the aforementioned coaching, as well as additional tickets and hospitality for LRP spectator events.

Other Club activities include Lime Rock Drivers Club private races, a planned trip to the Nurburgring Nordscleife, GPNY Club races, and very importantly Club training days on the skid pad, and autocross course, for members children, 15 years old and above. Those days include kart races for adults and teenagers. We even continue the autocross training through the winter, where members experience snow and ice driving in cars provided with snow tires and studs. Learning the Scandinavian flick is the favorite activity.

In conclusion, The Club, now in its fourth year, has also become an extended social gathering for passionate drivers to share their experiences.

So why not come test drive the club on one of our track days, and find out for yourself what The Lime Rock Drivers Club is all about?

The Concours will have a random drawing of the People's Choice ballots and one of the prizes will be a track day at Lime Rock -- a value of $1,500.
