Dear Sub, criber
The 7th annual Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance will soon be here.  Saturday September 11 is Car Club day, and Aston Martin, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Maserati, Connecticut Woodies, Ferrari, Jaguar and 3/4 Morgan clubs will all be represented.  We will have three educational seminars and our Art & Automobilia vendors and many of our special exhibits will be setting up and on the field during the day.

Car Club Day segues into our Toast the Tour Reception at 4 pm, when we welcome the participants in the Nutmeg Tour for Autism back to the Hunt Club.  This is our primary fundraiser for the Drive to Treat Autism Fund, supporting diagnostic and treatment services for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders.  This year, your ticket to the Toast the Tour reception (for which there will be a separate charge, given that it is a fundraiser for our beneficiary) will also provide admittance to the Bonhams Auction Preview beginning at 5:30pm.  Please join us in supporting our beneficiary.  At the Reception, we will present this year's Sharing the Passion Award to two very deserving individuals.   Tickets are available online at our web site.

Sunday's Concours show field is shaping up to be simply extraordinary, with more than 230 automobiles and motorcycles on the show field and in our special exhibits. The Coachworks by Howard Darrin exhibit features several examples of his impressive skills, including cars from the collections of Ralph Marano, Malcolm Pray and Drake Darrin. The LeMans exhibit features many winning cars from that storied race venue, including two brought here from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum, as well as early Ferraris, Bentleys and Bugattis. Our Hot Rods & Customs special exhibit features a dozen of the finest examples of the 50's and 60's era custom cars. Finally our Styled by the Wind exhibit features some of the most amazing examples of the Coachbuilders' art from the prewar period.
