smart center - Fairfield Motor Cars
 smart center will be providing test rides in two 2011 models of the smart car, the smart Fortwo and smart electric.
All smart Fortwos come packed with standard safety features that are more likely to be found in luxury vehicles. These include the protective "tridion safety cell," developed especially for the smart fortwo to help ensure crash compatibility with larger
 passenger cars, electronic stability program (esp®), anti-lock braking system (abs), and four airbags, to name a few.
If ever a car was meant to run on electricity, it would be the smart Fortwo. Its mission in life is to be an urban/suburban commuter for one or two with a bit of luggage. That dovetails neatly with the hundred-mile range of most early electric cars.
Test rides are available from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. |
McLaren's MP4-12C will be sold in only 10 places in North America, and in 35 cities in 19 countries overall. The validation prototypes built this summer will be followed this fall by the first pre-production cars before production begins early next year. The first deliveries will be in the U.K. followed by Europe, the Middle East and the U.S. McLaren expects to achieve U.S. Type approval in time for the first cars to be delivered in June 2011. McLaren Automotive is trying to ease the pain for sports fans who can't wait for the showroom debut of the new MP4-12C. The British supercar manufacturer has launched a new online configurator.
