2009 In Review
Our 6th year was the best Concours to date!
The Sunday weather was once again a perfect New England Fall day - bright blue skies,
sunny and warm. A great day to enjoy the art and beauty of our show field
of more than 230 vehicles.
Commenting on the event, William Scheffler (CEO) said,"2009 was our best year
ever. We expanded to two full days with our Saturday Car & Motorcycle Club day and seminars to go with the Nutmeg Tour for Autism. It has proven another success for our event and for
the quality of cars and motorcycles people have come to expect from us. The response
on Club Celebration Day, the Nutmeg Tour for Autism and on Concours Sunday has been overwhelming and a refreshing sign of optimism."
Said Co-Founder and Director of Operations John Shuck about Saturday's Car & Motorcycle Club Celebration: “We wanted to create
another attraction for those people that help make our show into what it is, for
the car enthusiasts and owners who so generally share their cars and motorcycles
with us and the public. We are grateful for their efforts in bringing these cars
to us, and with Club Celebration Day wanted to highlight them and their
unrelenting passion in preserving these significant automobiles and
motorcycles.”
Commenting on the event, Terry Brannigan from Gartner (Sponsor of the VIP
Pavilion) said: "2009 was another great year for the Concours. I really didn't get enough time to admire all the cars, but wow, you did an amazing
job finding the collection. Thanks for a great time."
Kent Bain, Automotive Restoration, said, "WELL DONE!
Your event is gracious, professional, welcoming and of a quality that will be
well remembered by all."
This unique club event is all about
connecting people through beautiful cars and sharing our passion and knowledge
of automobiles and motorcycles with everyone..

Mike Covello said: "I spent a delightful day at the 2009 Fairfield County
Concours d’Elegance, and came away with a renewed appreciation for the event.
What I realized, once again, is that it isn’t just the fabulous
cars and motorcycles, but the people I meet that keeps me coming back."
Joe Freeman (Winner of the FIVA Award) said in a note to Bill Scheffler: " I would like congratulate you and the organizers of the Fairfield Concours for
a truly outstanding job in putting together such a stellar show. I have rarely
attended an event that was so user friendly, not only from the entrants' point
of view, but also from that of the spectators. Good on ya', as the Aussies say!"
