Classic Car Club of America Grand Classic

The Metro New York and New England Chapters of the CCCA will hold their 2011 Grand Classic on Saturday September 17.

The Grand Classics are the premier National shows for Classic Cars, and the CCCA judging standards are used by all of the major concours shows.

A CCCA National first is recognized throughout the hobby as the standard of excellence. This is a good opportunity as well to see how your car "stacks up" and what, if anything, you need to do to preserve it historically.

You must of course be a member of CCCA to participate, and only CCCA approved Classics are allowed on the show field. You don't need a Show Car or Trailer Queen to participate, we have a Touring Class for cars that are more drivers than show cars.

For more information, click here.

Nutmeg Tour for Autism

Approximately 50 of the Concours exhibit cars will participate in a tour through Westport, Southport, Fairfield, Easton, Redding, and Weston, Connecticut. The cars will travel a prescribed route with media and spectator stops.

The tour will start at the St. Vincent's Health Services Westport Campus (formerly Hall-Brooke) at 47 Long Lots Rd. in Westport at 11:00am  and return to the Fairfield County Hunt Club at 174 Long Lots Rd. at approximately 3:30pm.

Toast the Tour

We will have a Gala Cocktail Reception & Preview at the Fairfield County Hunt Club on Saturday evening beginning at 4pm welcoming the Nutmeg Tour for Autism back from their 50 mile drive.  The program will include a brief remarks by our featured celebrity guest  and our Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance Share the Passion Awards will be presented to individuals who have been instrumental in advancing the art of collecting rare and significant motor vehicles.  After the Toast the Tour Reception, our guests will also be invited to the Bonhams Classic Auction Preview party from 6pm until 8pm.  Bonhams will display the memorabilia and classic vehicles available for auction on Sunday.

Tickets to the reception are available on our purchase tickets page.  Proceeds from the reception and preview benefit the Drive to Treat Autism Fund supporting diagnosis and treatment services for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Art & Automobilia

This year our featured artist is Peter Egan (click for more information). Selections of his work are available to view in our website's photo gallery.  You can see his work, along with other significant automotive artists and unique automotive collectibles in our Art & Automobilia Expo.  This year we will also offer automotive art from a number of local artists and automobile collectibles from some of the best in the industry.

Car & Motorcycle Club Celebration

A Car and Motorcycle Club Celebration on Saturday, September 17, 9:30 am - 3 pm, will provide invited organizations an opportunity to meet with their fellow members and share experiences and knowledge with colleagues from other clubs. Renowned experts will hold informative seminars, providing insights such as tips on the process of restoration, pointers on car inspection related to appraisals, and instruction on how to photograph cars and bikes.

Car and bike clubs will bring their favorite mode of transport to show to other attendees. Peer judging awards will be given with winners being shown in the Sunday Concours d'Elegance.

Other highlights include exhibitions by artists and automobilia galleries and luncheon options.

For more information or to apply for your club, email us. The entry application deadline is June 1.
